Another day at the Lost Bar

We decided to hike back out to the Lost Bar again.  We have been there several times but it’s just so much fun.  We sit out looking over the ocean on a cliff with boats churning and the sun glinting off the ocean.  The food is good and the pace relaxed.  They were having another concert in the afternoon so the band was setting up.

We hike on a nice quiet trail above Sorrento in the hills.  We love to look at the olive trees which are getting ready for harvest.  They have spread nets below some of them and the olives are falling already.  Soon they will come thru with shaking machines to get the rest of the olives out of the trees.

The Lost Bar is a relaxed place with good food.  We sat at a three legged table and sipped Coke Zero and ate a panini san with with ham and cheese and tomatoes on focaccia bread.

We enjoyed watching the boats ply back and forth below us on the Med.  Big and small boats as well as ferries make their way across the horizon.  The band was setting up and putting together their equipment.  So much fun.

We finally headed back to Sorrento and enjoyed the views of the city from high on the hill.  Probably our last time from that vantage.

We got back and relaxed for awhile - then took showers and got ready to got out.  We had some final purchases before we put together a box to ship home tomorrow.  It’s actually cheaper than lugging a third suitcase with luggage fees these days.

Jack found a leather desk organizer that he has been looking at for awhile.  He also got a note pad and stationary in the local printing shop.

Dinner was at our favorite local ‘red table’ restaurant O’Muzzilli.  We know the owner well and love the food.  Then back home to get ready for dinner.

Only two more days in Sorrento before heading to Rome.  We talked about how much we loved spending time here.  Enough time to just take it easy and not worrying about filling every day. Three weeks sounded like a long time but we are happy we planned that much time in one place.  No packing and moving - just relaxing and enjoying the adventures.
