Capri
We got up early to catch a bus to Massa which is where we got on a 30 food boat to head for capri. There were 11 people which made the boat almost full. The weather was sunny but there was some waves which made travel a little bumpy. Dianne wasn’t having a good time and soon began to feel poorly. We got her out into more air but still did not feel well. Soon she was throwing up and very unhappy. We didn’t have much choice so continued on with the trip.
We stopped outside the big harbor just to take a look then motored over to the famous ‘blue grotto’ which was not open because of the water conditions. We continued around the island passing the second largest lighthouse manned by the same families for generations.
We stopped at the green grotto which was pretty then continued around to the ‘marina piccolo’ which means small marina. We got off there and Dianne was immediately feeling better but not great. We sat on a bench in and she drank a Coke Zero and felt better.
We geabbes a bus to the town of capri which is at the top of the island. The town was busy with tourists but we did some window shopping and prayed the local church.
Dianne felt well enough to walk downhill to the big harbor where we found a ‘big ferry’ to get us smoothly back to Sorrento.
Jack grabbed some pizza for lunch but Dianne ate nothing since she still felt poorly.
The cruise back to Sorrento on the big ferry put Dianne to sleep which was a good thing,
We relaxed until Robb returned from the boat your. Then we decided to go to a local restaurant which specializes in buffal meat.
We all had a wonderful meal with good wine and great steaks. It was a fun evening!
