Last Day In Sorrento

It was another beautiful day in Sorrento so we decided to head out for a final visit to our favorite ‘Lost Bar’.  We geared up for our final hike in Sorrento.  We headed out the door knowing this was the last time we would treat these alleys and streets and trails.

The hike was beautiful up thru the hills above Sorrento.  The olive trees were ready for picking and some were already picked. They spread out nets below the olive trees to catch the fruit when it falls naturally and when they beat or shake the limbs.  There was a lady out collecting the fruit that had fallen but otherwise the trees were quiet.

We headed downhill toward the Roman Ruins but turned left to go to the Lost Bar.  There were fewer people out at the beach and in the ocean/

We got a nice table and relaxed for awhile/. The ocean was calm and there were many ferries but fewer boats.  The small harbor we could see had only had 2 people on the beach and the tables were mostly empty at the restaurants.

We ordered our regular focaccia with ham and cheese and tomatoes.  It was heated on a panini grill and drizzled with oil.  So good!

We sat and watched the sea and talk about our trip.  It had been wonderful to stay one place for 3 weeks.  We were able to relax and just take it easy.  If we wanted to do things we would but some days were just taking it easy.  We could favorite restaurants that we went to again and again.  They waiter recognized us and that was fun.  All the food was wonderful no matter how cheap or expensive.

We finally had today goodbye to the Lost Bar and we for a selfie with the owner before we left.  We will remember this place forever.

We got back him and did some laundry.  No dryer so you have to air dry everything.

We made a reservation for our final dinner at a restaurant just steps from our home.  Our friend Robb made it back from Positano and  we all went together.  The food was wonderful as usual and we finished with ‘Lemon Delight’ which was the specialty of Sorrento.  A great way to end our stay in Sorrento.
