Wine Tasting!
We looked at popular things to do in Sorrento and found a local winery that did tastings with food. We signed up for a 3 Pm tasting.
We headed out around 11 to so our usual Sorrento stroll. Dianne decided that she would like a sweatshirt and went to several stores before finding the one she wanted. It was green with Sorrento on the front.
We had a nice lunch at a restaurant we often visit for evening wine. They have WiFi so we worked on some stuff while we ate lunch.
Then we went back home for a quick stop then off to the wine tasting.
Before the tasting we found a local store that had kitchen utensils. We wanted to find some wooden utensils we used in our cooking classes. They are slightly different from the American versions.
We went to the wine tasting and met 6 other people who also signed up. Two from Canada so 4 from the US. It was a wonderful experience and we tasted 8 different wines and bought 3 bottles to take home. The host was alot of fun and gave us some great information about wine making in Sorrento. The winery was de Angelis and it is the only winery in the city of Sorrento. They make about 100K bottles per year so a small operation. The grapes are not any we knew so that was fun. And they had some great food and bread to balance the tasting.
We headed home to take it easy since dinner was already in our stomachs.
Another fun day in Sorrento.
